We are off to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis for an August 26 evening matchup of two teams with championship aspirations – the Indiana Fever and the Seattle Storm! Seattle is looking to return to title contention with a strong core of veterans and Indiana is continuing to build around Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston along with new Fever players with great experience. The Storm’s experience and defensive toughness could make them favorites, but Indiana’s youthful energy, improved roster, and home-court advantage could give them a real shot at victory. We are expecting to see an intense, fast-paced game with Clark’s long-range shooting, Loyd’s offensive explosiveness, and a battle of dominant frontcourts shaping the outcome. If the Fever can limit Seattle’s three-point shooting and take advantage of their deeper bench, they could walk away with a statement win!

These are some of the highlights we are planning to watch for –

• The Battle of the Point Guards - Clark’s elite passing and three-point range will be put to the test against Skylar Diggins-Smith, a seasoned veteran who knows how to control the pace of the game. Clark’s ability to hit deep shots and create plays for teammates will be a key factor in Indiana’s offense, while Diggins-Smith’s leadership and defensive pressure will challenge the Fever’s young star.

• Jewell Loyd’s Scoring Prowess - Loyd, one of the most dangerous offensive players in the WNBA, will be a primary threat for the Storm. Her ability to get hot from deep and drive to the basket could be a major problem for Indiana’s defense. Expect Sophie Cunningham and Kelsey Mitchell to take turns trying to slow her down.

• The Frontcourt Battle - Boston, one of the best young centers in the league, will have a physical matchup against Ezi Magbegor, one of the WNBA’s best defensive bigs. The battle in the paint will be crucial—if Boston can establish herself early and get Magbegor in foul trouble, it could swing the game in Indiana’s favor.

• The Collision of Veteran Stars - Howard and Ogwumike, both former WNBA champions, will bring experience and leadership to their respective teams. Ogwumike’s ability to score inside and stretch the floor will challenge Indiana’s defense, while Howard’s defensive versatility could be key in slowing down the Storm’s frontcourt.

• Indiana’s Bench vs Seattle’s Depth - The Fever’s bench has improved significantly with the additions of Bonner, Smith, and Fagbenle, giving them more depth than in previous seasons. Meanwhile, Seattle has a strong group of reserves, including Jordan Horston and Kia Nurse, who can provide defensive toughness and scoring. The battle of the second units could be a deciding factor in the game.

Expectations: This tour requires light physical activity combined with shorter travel days. Tour members should expect intermittent walking, with occasional slight inclines and stair climbs, including boarding the motorcoach. Activities may include an occasional city or nature walking tour, stopping along the way. Guests should be able to climb a set of stairs, walk up or down slight slopes and navigate some uneven terrain or cobblestone. Please be aware that on tours with flights and cruises you will be required to handle your own luggage and walk longer distances in airports and cruise terminals. In addition, you may need to handle your own luggage at hotels where luggage handling is not available.

Appropriate for: Travelers who are somewhat physically fit and comfortable with longer days of touring (both walking tours and coach time).
