We’re kicking off an exciting WNBA season with our first of many Indiana Fever games at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. This May 30 evening game will be against the new Indiana Fever’s coach’s former team, the Connecticut Sun. Enjoy the game from terrace level seating with a fantastic selection of food and beverages included in your ticket. This Indiana Fever vs. Connecticut Sun matchup will be an emotional and exciting showdown, as former Sun head coach Stephanie White now leads the Fever against her former team. The Fever have significantly upgraded their roster, with Caitlin Clark, Dawanna Bonner, Sophie Cunningham, and Natasha Howard, making them a rising contender. Meanwhile, the Sun remain a powerhouse with their deep and experienced roster, looking to continue their dominance in the Eastern Conference.

 

Here are some of the main highlights we are expecting --

• There’s the intriguing storyline of Stephanie White coaching the Fever against the Sun, the team she led to the WNBA Finals in 2022. We all know that she knows Connecticut’s system well, which could help Indiana in their preparation defensively and expose some weaknesses.

• Then it’ll be interesting to see how Caitlin Clark navigates the physical defensive schemes put up by the Sun which will be key to Indiana’s offensive success. It’s a tenacious Sun defense led by DiJonai Carrington and Alyssa Thomas, both very elite defenders.

• Of course both of these teams have dominant bigs, and the Boston vs Jones matchup will be a true battle in the paint. With the defensive presence of Aliyah Boston and the scoring ability of Brionna Jones It is their talents that could be the deciding factor in the post.

• While DaWanna Bonner played a major role for the Sun over the past few seasons, she is now suiting up for the Fever. We are expecting her to come motivated to put up some big numbers against her former squad as a reserve.

 

This game will be a measuring stick for Indiana, as they look to prove they can compete with one of the WNBA’s elite teams. With Clark running the offense, Bonner adding veteran leadership, and Boston holding down the paint, the Fever are a much stronger squad than in previous seasons. However, Connecticut’s experience, depth, and defensive toughness will make them a tough opponent. Expect a physical, competitive game with Clark’s passing, Thomas’ all-around dominance, and Bonner’s revenge game all playing key roles in the outcome. If the Fever can handle Connecticut’s pressure defense and hold their own in the paint, they could pull off a statement win at home!

Expectations: This tour requires light physical activity combined with shorter travel days. Tour members should expect intermittent walking, with occasional slight inclines and stair climbs, including boarding the motorcoach. Activities may include an occasional city or nature walking tour, stopping along the way. Guests should be able to climb a set of stairs, walk up or down slight slopes and navigate some uneven terrain or cobblestone. Please be aware that on tours with flights and cruises you will be required to handle your own luggage and walk longer distances in airports and cruise terminals. In addition, you may need to handle your own luggage at hotels where luggage handling is not available.

Appropriate for: Travelers who are somewhat physically fit and comfortable with longer days of touring (both walking tours and coach time).
