While creating this tour, it occurred to us that we will be doing everything that "Blue Grass" may include, the beautiful countryside of Kentucky with the pretty white fences set against the beautiful grass that is definitely more green than blue but is true Kentucky Blue Grass. Louisville has so much to offer and we are including most everything we can think of… Churchill Downs & the Kentucky Derby Museum, the Frazier Museum, and the Louisville Slugger Museum & factory, the Muhammad Ali Center and more. We even have thrown in some distilleries; after all, you cannot be in the heart of bourbon country and not partake in a few distilleries and tastings! We move along to Owensboro, Kentucky which is home to the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame where that evening me may be treated to a live bluegrass performance at the Hall of Fame Theatre. As we move from Louisville to Nashville, we stop to tour the birthplace of Bill Monroe, the mandolinist, singer and songwriter who created the bluegrass music genre with an added bonus of a performance at the Rosine Barn Jamboree.

 

Our two-night stay in Nashville is full of great places to tour with plenty of free time for you to enjoy Nashville the way you may want to. A couple of additional stops on our way home rounds out this great tour with a dinner cruise on the Gateway Arch Riverboat in Saint Louis and some time to explore Hannibal with a special visit from the current residing Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher plus admission to the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Interpretive Museum before making our way back home.

A $300 deposit per person is required within one week of reservation. Must be paid in full by May 1, 2024.
