Explore Main Street, the heart of Galena’s shopping district, where you’ll find the street lined with beautifully preserved 19th-century buildings that house all kinds of shops, wineries, bakeries, sweets, pubs, and restaurants!

 

Your day could look much like this:

Meet your friendly Trailways host and driver and depart from the available location of your choice. Sit back, relax and visit with your friends on your way to Galena. Once you arrive, grab a cup of coffee and a pastry at Kaladi’s Coffee Bar and then head out to explore Main Street. Stop in some of the boutiques and specialty stores like Poopsie’s, a whimsical shop perfect for finding unique gifts, toys, and quirky home décor or Gabby’s Gifts offering a range of gifts, home accessories, and local artisan crafts, and for foodies, check out the Galena Garlic Company which offers a wide selection of gourmet garlic products, spices, and cooking oils.

 

Then take some time for lunch maybe at Fried Green Tomatoes, known for its delicious Italian food and historic setting or maybe Gobbie’s Sports Pub & Eatery. Time now for some browsing through a vast collection of antiques, vintage items and collectibles at Tin Pan Alley Antique Mall. Take a break at Galena Cellars Vineyard & Winery to sample local wines and pick up a bottle or two to take back home with you. Check out Vignettes of Galena, a store that offers handcrafted jewelry and decorative items, many that are made by local artisans. Time for another cup of coffee, this time at Mean Bean Roasters and perhaps a stop at the American Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor for an ice cream treat. Before you know it, it is time to head back home with all your treasures and such a fun day out under your belt!
