DAY 1: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2021
Join us this morning from the available departure location of your choice, meet your friendly on-board Trailways host and get ready for a great trip! Enjoy rest and refresh breaks along the way today, as well as a stop for lunch, on your own, as we travel south to Joplin, Missouri for our overnight stay. Arrive at the Drury Inn & Suites Joplin this evening in time to enjoy an included kickback reception, or have dinner, on your own, at a nearby restaurant. Nearby restaurants include Olive Garden and Steak & Shake.
DAY 2: MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2021
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel this morning we arrive at the Pioneer Woman Mercantile in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. The Pioneer Woman Mercantile is a destination bakery, deli, and general store in the heart of Osage County. They’ve got gorgeous goods and comfort foods, and plenty of fun to dish out! Enjoy an included 4-course Pioneer Woman meal with appetizer, salads, entrees, and desserts for lunch today. Note: This may be subject to availability due to the daily circumstances and changes.
After, for a fun side trip as part of your Mercantile experience, Ree and Ladd invite you to visit the Lodge on Drummond Ranch! The Lodge is their family guest house, which also serves as the production location for Ree’s Food Network Show.
Then, arrive at the new Ben Johnson Cowboy Museum also located in Pawhuska. Travel through Oklahoma’s western film history at the Ben Johnson Cowboy Museum. Dedicated to the Oscar-winning actor Ben Johnson, this amazing collection features notable Osage County cowboys, cowgirls and western heritage. Check out the many world champions featured like Paul Lee Foreman and his championship buckles. This museum of Osage County Western Heritage also boasts a display for all-time leading money-winner jockey, G.R. Carter. While you’re there, find out more about the iconic Drummond family; they’ve been ranching in Osage for over 100 years. If you like world-class art, this museum is a must-see with the largest collection of John D. Free original paintings and bronzes on-site.
This evening, check in to Homewood Suites in Catoosa, OK. Homewood Suites offer guests a complimentary “Evening Social.” There is wine and beer, as well as “small plate” offerings, which are described as “just the right size as an appetizer or a small, satisfying meal.” You may also take advantage of one of the nearby restaurants, and have dinner, on your own. The remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy as you wish.
DAY 3: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2021
After breakfast we depart the hotel and head for Ole Red in Tishomingo! Lunch today is a real treat as we visit Blake Shelton’s Ole Red located in his home town of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Enjoy some time in downtown Tishomingo to explore some of the Boutiques and Country Stores. After, depart for Waco, TX.
Arrive at Hotel Indigo Waco this afternoon with time to freshen up. Start exploring and have dinner, on your own, at River Square Center or Downtown Waco.
DAY 4: WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2021
Have breakfast at the hotel before departing with a local guide. Enjoy a driving tour which will include sightseeing at Common Grounds, JDH Iron Design, Earle-Harrison House, Fixer Upper Homes (drive by only) and other sights related to the Fixer Upper show.
The rest of the day is free to spend it as you wish. Have lunch at the Magnolia Market food truck park or hop on the Silo District Trolley and/or the LaSalle-Circle Shuttles (both are FREE) and shop ‘til you drop!
If you want to take a break from shopping, don’t worry, Waco has plenty to offer! The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum is dedicated to the history and lore of the legendary Texas Rangers, the oldest state law enforcement agency in the nation. The facility features changing exhibits with more than 14,000 artifacts and is open from 9am to 5pm. Cost is $7, on your own.
The Dr. Pepper Museum is located downtown Waco and there are more than just exhibits to experience while you’re at the museum. From live demonstrations and informative talks by their interpretation staff, to collectibles in the Gift Shop and handmade treats in the Soda Fountain, there is something for everyone to experience. Self-guided visits are $8 for seniors and $10 for adults, on your own.
After enjoying dinner, on your own, at a local restaurant, we depart for an included Ice Cream Social at Heritage Creamery. Heritage Creamery is an independently owned and locally operated ice cream shop in Waco. They are proud to be “Grown Here” in Waco, and to be part of the city. Their mission is to provide locally and responsibly sourced, delicious, frozen treats for their community. The remainder of the evening is yours to spend, on your own.
DAY 5: THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2021
Breakfast this morning is a real treat at Magnolia Table, on your own. This is the best time of the day to eat at Chip & Joanna’s restaurant before starting a full day of shopping!
Enjoy the day to yourself to follow the Magnolia Trail. Don’t forget to stop at the Little Shop on Bosque where it all began! Enjoy lunch, on your own, while out exploring today. Dinner will be included at a local restaurant, then the remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy, on your own.
DAY 6: FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2021
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before we depart for our journey home. There will be rest and refresh breaks along the way, as needed, as well as a stop for lunch, on your own. We arrive at the Drury Inn & Suites Joplin this evening and enjoy the optional kickback reception. You may also choose to enjoy dinner, on your own, at a nearby restaurant instead.
DAY 7: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2021
After breakfast we depart for the final stretch of our journey home. There will be rest and refresh breaks, as well as a lunch stop, on your own, before arriving home this evening with all of your shopping treasures!
